Born in 1969 from an idea of Ed Kaplan and Gary Cless, who in 1982 launched the first barcode printer, in 1997 the first wearable computer, in 2004 the first durable RFID pda and first corporate digital assistant, in 2008 the first mobile RFID printing solutions were introduced. In 2013, with the acquisition of Hart Systems, Zebra creates the IoT platform for business. In 2016 it deploys the first all-touch Android technology for inventory and in 2017 the innovative intelligent data management platform is born.
In the following years, thanks to successful acquisitions and partnerships, Zebra extended its solutions to workforce management and SmartSight intelligent automation for retail, equipping its devices with the most robust and cutting-edge technology.
