Until last year, it would have seemed impossible – or at least unusual – yet these past months have taught us that even more or less complex IT development projects can be managed in full-remote mode, whether sitting in the office or at home, communicating with our counterparts in a different way. Phases such as analysis, which often required multiple face-to-face sessions with the client and various stakeholders, system integration, which usually involves third parties such as software houses, and user training, traditionally delivered through in-person support, can today be carried out entirely remotely.
This was demonstrated by the project carried out jointly by Aton and Bellani in 2020. The Lombard company, which has been operating for over 70 years in the professional cosmetics sector for hairdressers, decided to equip its sales force with a digital tool for order collection and customer management, making its commercial offer faster, more precise and in line with the times.
With the new app, sales representatives can manage a particularly complex order collection process quickly and easily.
One of the key requirements for the new sales app was its ability to adapt to the speed and complexity of transactions typical of this sector, where numerous variants must be considered for the same item – hair colour shades being just one example.
“Thanks to the new app, the sales rep can manage a particularly complex order collection process simply and quickly,” explains Federico Bellani, Head of Business Development at the company. “The flexibility to choose among the many variants available – up to 200 for some items – the classification of products by brand, and the automated management of promotions, allow the salesperson to conduct the sale with maximum fluidity directly in front of the customer.”
Managing a project of this kind in full-remote mode brought with it new ways of collaborating with the various stakeholders, from the client to third parties. More frequent sharing of activities and project progress made it possible to move forward through successive refinements, optimising time and resources and laying the foundations for those relationships of trust that many Aton clients value as the most important guiding principle.
