We are called atonpeople because we share not only the space and time of our daily work, but also the sense of belonging to a team that is in the field to grow together, through the daily exchange of knowledge and know-how.

Aton’s story 

Our story began in 1988 with the desire to do business in a different way and create value through software and services for the sustainable growth of companies. The transformation into a Benefit Company, in March 2021, was a natural evolution of what we have experienced since the birth of Aton.

1988

Realisation of the first sales and retail applications on mobile systems and radio frequency wireless systems to manage logistics in real time

1993

Pen computing and handwriting recognition in sales force automation, attempted sales and merchandising applications

2000

Launch of .onRetail Windows CE, retail management software

 

 

Launch of the Service Desk, multilingual IT support service to users

2005

Aton acquires Infos of Turin, Europe’s leading manufacturer of portable systems

2007

Development of the IoT RFID platform in collaboration with Torino Wireless and Politecnico di Torino

2009

Birth of the subsidiaries Blue Mobility, Aton White and Aton Orange

2010

Aton brings its business application offering to Android

2013

Aton launches real time operations management in retail: .onRetail becomes Android

2015

Aton embraces B2B e-commerce in an omnichannel perspective

2018

Aton achieves the first Great Place to Work® Certification and is recognised as one of the 50 best companies to work for in Italy

2019

Aton uses its IoT expertise in the Oil & Gas sector with Smart Metering applications offered to international players

2020

Acquisition of Nexus Informatica
